What causes cellulite?

Angelica: “The jury’s still out on the actual causes of cellulite. It is widely thought that genetics plays a big part combined with hormonal changes post puberty and the negative effects of 21 st century living, such as poor diet, lack of exercise and excess stress, which in turn can cause sluggish lymphatic systems and circulation. The four stages of cellulite development:

  • Stage 0: No noticeable dimpling while standing or lying, and the pinch test shows folds and furrows, but no mattress-like appearance.
  • Stage 1: No dimpling while standing or lying down, but the pinch test shows mattress-like appearance.
  • Stage 2: Spontaneous dimpling when standing, but not when lying down.
  • Stage 3: Spontaneous dimpling when standing and when lying down.

Treatment explained

Micro needling MESOTHERAPY helps to break down cells followed by 3D-dermology vacuum and rolling which improves circulation and boosts lymph drainage.  This leaves the skin smooth and dimple free.

How does it work?

Small micro injections of specially prepared active ingredients (mesotherapy) are placed in the superficial layer of the skin around the target area.  The product helps degrade fat cells, stimulate cell metabolism and collagen production, reducing the surface’s lumpy appearance.  Dermology speeds up removal cell breakdown products and shifting water by stimulating lymphatic drainage, leaving the skin smooth and taught.
